Philosophy of Education

I became a teacher because I want to inspire students to become lifelong learners and encourage them to enjoy their learning experience. I feel that through making connections with students, by relating to their interests and lives, this can be accomplished. It takes time, effort, care, and concern to create these relations with students as well as to show them that you are there to support them in whatever they need.

St. Rene Memory

Up to this point, my greatest memory at St. Rene Goupil was when I took the Class of 2011 to Springfield for their 8th grade trip. We had the privilege of touring the Capitol building, Lincoln’s tomb, Lincoln’s home, Lincoln’s law office, and of course the Lincoln Museum. Not only was the trip educational, but I had a wonderful time with an amazing group of students who truly enjoyed the trip as well.
