Meet your Teacher – Mrs. Lee

My name is Jennifer Lee and I have been teaching preschool for over ten years. I have a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education/Psychology from NationalLouisUniversity. I am happily married and have a son. I like helping people and I regularly volunteer. I also like reading, listening to music and doing a variety of crafts, but I enjoy spending time with my family more than anything.

I believe that teachers have an important role in children’s lives. I clearly remember some of the teachers I had in my life and how they influenced me. I became a teacher because I wanted to inspire children to be successful in school and in life. Teaching requires a lot of energy, patience, nurturing, and dedication. It can be perceived as a struggle or a challenge, but despite all of the work required, it is a rewarding experience. It is worth every bit of energy needed to provide children with the best education possible. I am grateful to be a teacher and I am committed to helping my students achieve their goals.

Although I’ve only been here a short time, I really enjoy working at St. Rene. There is a wonderful rapport between the staff and families. The teachers are very dedicated and they strive to help the children become confident successful students. The families actively participate in their children’s education and volunteer their time to help with school events. I have worked in other schools and I have never experienced such a close-knit feeling of community, which is the heart of St. Rene.
